President Barack Obama said numerous times during his campaign that he would raise taxes but only on people that made over $250,000 a year. This is also stated on his website: http://www.barackobama.com/taxes/.
Some Americans may be frightened to hear that because of yet another spending bill being pushed by Obama, a proposal for a national sales tax has been made, http://www.nj.com/business/index.ssf/2009/05/national_sales_tax_mulled_to_o.html. I'm a little confused. Obama said taxes would only be raised on Americans making over $250,000 a year, but a national sales tax would raise taxes for all Americans. Something is a little off here. The purpose of the new tax would be to pay off the costs of switching the country's health care system to a universal form. I'm not a fan of universal health care but I'll go over that another time.
The bottom line here is that the entire country's taxes would go up a considerable amount because of the bill that would give us bad health care. Woops, I meant to say universal health care.
Obama has always been a strong advocate of universal health care and he isn't backing away from this stance as mentioned earlier. Obama may or may not have been the one to suggest the national tax but whether he did or didn't isn't the point here. Because of a bill that he is pushing for, either all Americans will see an increase in their taxes or the country's debt will continue to sky rocket under Obama.
I'm not a fan of either.
"Change we can believe in"? We cam believe in Obama's change but we should hope and pray that it doesn't happen.
Obama has changed some things already unfortunately. He's changed his mind on who will be taxed in order to pay for his next spending bill.

Agree To Agree
I never thought I'd say this, but I actually agree with President Barack Obama on something. One thing to be specific.
In 2004 Obama became a U.S. senator. After he won that election reporters asked him if he would run for president and Obama said no because he believed in "knowing what you're doing when you apply for a job," http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BnLozS-TnM&feature=related.
I think Obama was right. He shouldn't have run for president because he was greatly lacking the experience necessary to be president. He didn't know what he was doing when he applied for the job. What changed his mind and led him to believe that he'd obtained the experience he said he lacked? No one knows.
I believe we're seeing what an inexperienced president will do. Just about all of Obama's picks for his administration have undergone intense scrutiny and rightfully so. His pick for Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner, had problems because he simply didn't pay his taxes.
Tom Daschle was Obama's pick to be Health Secretary, he also hadn't problems because he didn't pay his taxes.
Obama has struggled to put a limit on his father's credit card (the national budget) and consequently he and congress have spent with reckless abandon.
Obama reminds me of a child that only knows a few phrases. That word is bailout.
They're have been so many spending bills in Obama's first 100 days as president that I have trouble keeping track of them. Every time a big company has to file for bankruptcy Obama and our liberal controlled congress suggest a bailout.
Give me a break! Whatever happened to a free market? Apparently Obama hasn't heard of that phrase.
I have an idea. If businesses make bad decisions they should recieve the consequences for those bad decisions. If my father's business were required to file for bankruptcy would they get a bailout? No! I thought democrats were about being fair and having a level playing field. Apparently they aren't about being fair.
Obama and congress should be a little more fair.
This whole problem would've been avoided if Obama had stuck to his word for once and not applied for a job he wasn't qualified for.

Not My Fault
Janeane Garofalo said on MSNBC that the tea parties on tax day were "racism straight up." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_o_xSAdB2aY
She also said these people were only protesting because a black man was in office. Give me a break. Why can't people just hate his policies? What does race have to do with it? I'll admit that there are racist people in America but that doesn't mean that every person that protests President Barack Obama's policies is a racist. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
I am not a fan of Obama but it has absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin. Garofalo seems to think that Obama the savior can only be disliked by racists and rednecks.

Take A Bow
President Barack Obama went on his first trip overseas recently and has received quite a bit of criticism for bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WlqW6UCeaY
The White House Staff have said that Obama wasn't bowing but simply lowering down to reach the king's hand. I don't think bowing to the Saudi king was that big of a deal. I don't think he should've done it but I think he's made other mistakes that are much worse.
I think the more important part of this whole thing is the blatant lie. Anyone who watches the video can tell that Obama is bowing to the king. I think that Obama and his staff are insulting our intelligence. If he bowed to the king he should just say it was a bow and that it was a mistake if he believes it was a mistake but don't lie to the country.
If Obama was merely reaching down to shake the king's hand, then why didn't he bend over that much when he shook Queen Elizabeth's hand? She's only 5'4. It's ridiculous.
It reminds me of when Obama said he didn't know about Reverend Jeremiah Wright's extreme and radical views against America. He sat in Wright's pews for 20 years! To say he didn't know these things, insults our intelligence.
My biggest concern with Obama is that I don't think he can be trusted. He made a number of different statements about his relationship with terrorist Bill Ayers. In Obama's defense, it did finally come out that he launched his political career in Ayers' living room.

Obama built his campaign on "change," and always said we're going to change America and the way politics are done. I'll give him credit, he's changed some things. I'll also admit that I'm a huge fan a his picks for his administration.Tim Geithner, the name just rolls off the tongue.
President Obama picked the wonderful Geithner to play a key roll in his administration, the secretary of the treasury. The reason I like Geithner is because he refused to pay his taxes. I'm trying to remember how much he owes in taxes. Let me think. Now I remember! In Geithner's defense, it's the small amount of about $34,000, so not tons (I hope you can detect my sarcasm). Next, we have the spectacular Tom Daschle. What a pick! I wonder what Obama was thinking when he picked him. It was probably something like "let's see how many people I can pick that haven't paid their taxes."
No one knows for sure what he's thinking, we don't have the technology haha. We do know that our president's pick for health secretary avoided paying about $128,000 in taxes. Another wise choice for our new president. Daschle never actually became the health secretary sadly (more sarcasm). Obama always talked about crossing party lines. That'd be great if he actually did. Instead his brilliant stimusex package isn't crossing any lines. It's getting strictly democratic support.Some of you are probably thinking "well republicans didn't cross party lines when they had congress and the white house." Whether they did or not really makes no difference in any of this. The fact is that Obama said he would and either failed or flat out lied. He said he was going to change the way Washington was run. Picking people who don't pay their taxes is a good start.
He's changing something for sure.I hope he does a good job, I really do. He's gotten off to such a great start that now I have tons of faith in him. Should we support him and his bill's simply because he's our president? Maybe. I just don't want to make the same mistake the Germans did with Hitler.
Now I'm not saying that Obama is the next Hitler. What I am saying is that the germans followed Hitler like he was the Messiah. Should we blindly follow Obama? I sure don't think so. We should do all we can to improve our own situation and pray that he doesn't continue on his path of massively spending all our tax dollars with no sign of it helping.

What's Being Said About You?
Just about all people have spoken badly about someone else at some point in their lives.
Every time that I hear someone talk badly about another person, I always say to the person "I wonder what people say about me when I'm not around." I am not proud to say that I've fallen into the same thing. I've said bad things about others before and I wish I hadn't.
Think about it. If someone is talking badly about another person to you, what's to stop that person from saying bad things about you when you're not around? I don't see what would.
When I was a teenager, I would say bad things about people behind their backs all the time. I felt that everyone did it and even talked badly about me. This was and is an unintelligent way to think. It doesn't better the community in any way.
I dated a girl that had recently broken up with a guy. She was constantly telling me how stupid he was. She talked about him so much that I felt like knew the guy. Every time she'd tell me something bad about him I'd wonder if any of it was true. I'd also wonder what she was going to say about me when we broke (by that point I knew it was over because of how badly she spoke of him and others). I lost so much respect for her.
We stopped dating and I had no doubt that she'd spoken badly about me. As If there was anything bad to say? Just kidding. She started dating the very guy that she'd constantly said terrible things about. I wondered what he'd think if he knew what she'd said about him.
Nonetheless, they broke up and she wanted to date me again. I had no desire to get back with her. She was pretty persistent in trying to date me again. Throughout all of her coaxing I wondered what she'd said about me after we'd stopped dating. I never got back with her.

In Their Hands?
On Tuesday, President Barack Obama signed a stimulus bill in Washington DC to help fix the economy.
On Wednesday, Speaker of the House, Nanci Pelosi, and seven other democrats in congress went on vacation to Italy. Some people, including me, are a little annoyed at this. Nonetheless, they went on vacation to Europe.
The stimulus package will supposedly give Americans a whopping $13 in their paychecks. The point of this is for people to put money back into the economy. Putting the money in the bank won't help, the government is giving this money to people so they'll go out and buy things with it.
It's extremely ironic to me, that Pelosi and other members of congress would go on vacation outside of the country. These people are wealthy, there's no doubt about it. Wouldn't it help the American economy if they'd gone on vacation somewhere in the U.S?
Our congress should lead by example. If they want us to put money in the economy, then they should do the same.
I'm not saying that going on an American vacation instead of an Italian one is the answer to our economic woes. But these are the people making stimulus packages that spend American tax dollars. If all Americans pulled a Pelosi, our economy would be even worse. Maybe that's why it's getting worse.

"Stimulus" Package?
Watching Obama give his speech in a desperate attempt to pass his idiotic "stimulus package" makes me want to throw up! He doesn't know what he's talking about in the slightest. The small chance that he does know what he's talking about scares me even more. If he knows what he's saying, then he's just mental.
First, I want to convey in absolute certain terms that the recession is not Bush's fault. The two people that are the MOST responsible are Chris Dodd and Barney Franke of congress. Both are liberal just so you all know.
Dodd and Franke said a couple years ago that they wanted every American to own a home, even if they couldn't afford it. There's nothing wrong with that. I wish everyone in the world had a home. Most people wish there were no homeless people.
Dodd and Frank decided that for every American to own a home, they forced (and I meant to use that word) banks to give pretty much anybody a loan to buy a house. A domino affect followed.
Because banks were now giving loans to people that couldn't afford it, banks were never paid and many houses were seized. That's why our housing market has crashed so bad.
Second, throughout Obama's speech he constantly mentioned the importance of the government intervening during this recession. I also think it's important for the government to react and put together some kind of stimulus package. However I don't think Obama's "stimulus package" (you'll learn why I put quotes around it in a second) will stimulate the economy at all. The more that Americans learn about the bill the less they approve of it, probably for the same reasons I do.
Millions of dollars in the bill go to contraceptives (condoms for those of you who don't know). My question is, how are condoms going to "stimulate" our economy? Maybe Obama is confused about the meaning of the word "stimulate." Who knows what he's thinking.
During his speech he also said that there is not a single ear mark in the bill. That is an outright lie and he knows it. He's used to lying about things because he did it his whole campaign, but that's an idea for another time. Obama has been getting slammed by the media for his ear mark comment because anyone and everyone who knows anything about his bill knows that it's chuck full of ear marks.
His whole speech is about how we have to do something to stop the crisis from becoming a catastrophe. Duh Obama! Nobody wants the situation to get worse. If they do they're mental. I know that the government needs to intervene and that if there isn't a bill that the economy will get even worse. But I think that his bill will absolutely fail. Most of America seems to think so too. At least, it would seem that way since the bill keeps losing support.
If Obama wants to help the economy, he should stop talking about this idiotic bill that keeps losing support and put together a decent one. Pull your head out Obama! Spending my tax dollars is okay, but it's not okay to spend it on condoms and ear marks and then lie to me about it.
This bill will get passed by congress, there's no doubt in my mind about that. It will also be the reason that Obama will NOT last more than one term, much to the chagrin of all the Obama worshipers out there.

The reason I like Geithner is because he refused to pay his taxes. I'm trying to remember how much he owes in taxes. Let me think. Now I remember! In Geithner's defense, it's the small amount of about $34,000, so not tons (I hope you can detect my sarcasm).
Next, we have the spectacular Tom Daschle. What a pick! I wonder what Obama was thinking when he picked him. It was probably something like "let's see how many people I can pick that haven't paid their taxes." No one knows for sure what he's thinking, we don't have the technology haha. We do know that our president's pick for health secretary avoided paying about $128,000 in taxes. Another wise choice for our new president. Daschle never actually became the health secretary sadly (more sarcasm).
Obama always talked about crossing party lines. That'd be great if he actually did. Instead his brilliant stimusex package isn't crossing any lines. It's getting strictly democratic support.
Some of you are probably thinking "well republicans didn't cross party lines when they had congress and the white house." Whether they did or not really makes no difference in any of this. The fact is that Obama said he would and either failed or flat out lied.
He said he was going to change the way Washington was run. Picking people who don't pay their taxes is a good start. He's changing something for sure.
I hope he does a good job, I really do. He's gotten off to such a great start that now I have tons of faith in him. Should we support him and his bill's simply because he's our president? Maybe. I just don't want to make the same mistake the Germans did with Hitler. I'm not comparing Obama to Hitler. I'm just saying we shouldn't just blindly follow politicians.
Dating Signals
This goes out to all the boys and girls out there who get frustrated with dating.
I asked a girl out once upon a time (shocking I know) and this girl was the perfect example of what to do if you're interested in someone. We'll call her Esmerelda.
I called Esmerelda and asked her if she'd be interested in going on a date with me the coming Friday. She told me that she couldn't go out with me that Friday because she already plans. That could be a valid excuse, but she could've just made it up because she didn't want to go out with me. A guy is basically left to wonder.
Shortly after she told me had plans on Friday she said "but I'm free on Saturday." Now I knew that Esmerelda was interested in me. It took so much of the guessing out of the equation. As a result, we went out on Saturday night and had a good time.
I had a similar experience with another girl, we'll call her Kiki.
I met Kiki and thought she was gorgeous and had a good personality. I asked her if she would like to accompany me on a date. Kiki said she was going to be out of town so she couldn't go out with me. Was Kiki telling the truth or was she merely blowing me off? I think she was blowing me off. If she was interested in me she should've done what Esmerelda did.
Kiki gave me no reason to believe she wanted to go out with me. Consequently, I never asked Kiki out again and I never will unless she gives me a reason to.
Communication is pretty important in relationships and that includes the initial part of dating. If you don't communicate well, the person will be confused. If you're interested in someone, make it clear. If you're not, make that clear as well. Don't send mixed messages.
